Swedish designer Gustaf Westman brings his signature playful, dopamine-style aesthetic to a reimagining of Disney Mickey & Friends through a new homeware collection. The first products unveiled are the Mickey Mouse Tumbler, Cup and Sofa, with more reveals planned throughout October.Further pieces will be revealed at pop-ups in Paris, Tokyo and New York before the full range becomes available globally online on 15 November.

LONDON, 12 OCTOBER 2026: Disney and Swedish designer Gustaf Westman today revealed the first look at a new collection inspired by Disney Mickey & Friends, spanning furniture, homeware, apparel and accessories.

For nearly 100 years, Mickey Mouse has remained one of the world's most recognisable characters. Even the most subtle design cues – a white glove, signature bow, or a flash of familiar colourways – Mickey & Friends characters are instantly evoked for the joy and optimism that have inspired generations. From early sketches to final designs, Westman drew on the iconic shapes, colours and silhouettes of Mickey & Friends, reimagining these beloved characters through bold forms and playful proportions that have become synonymous with his work.

Ahead of designing the collection, Westman visited Disneyland Paris, immersing himself in the world of Mickey & Friends. This visit, combined with his personal fandom, helped to shape the creative direction and sparked many of his earliest ideas. The result is a collection that brings together two creative worlds, blending Disney imagination with Westman’s design language in playful and unexpected ways.

“Collaborating with Disney felt like a very natural creative match from the start - when it came to sketching ideas and exploring how a silhouette or colour of a character could meet my own design language, there was so much overlap between these recognisable silhouettes and my signature work. It felt like two worlds coming together in a way that felt genuine and effortless. There’s so much joy and playfulness associated with these characters, and I wanted to capture some of that feeling in every piece,” says Gustaf Westman.

Sonia Samra, Vice President of Fashion, Home and Beauty, The Walt Disney Company EMEA, says: “Every corner of this collection is brimming with imagination, humour and play. Gustaf has taken the personalities we know so well and given them a playful new life. Because it all comes from his own creative process, the collection feels deeply personal to him while staying true to the characters. Familiar, yet entirely unexpected. That's where this collaboration really comes to life.”

Leading the reveal is the Mickey Tumbler (€110), which takes Westman’s signature Chunky Tumbler somewhere entirely new. The iconic red, yellow and black palette of Mickey Mouse is built into the form itself, with two black ears turning the familiar silhouette into a design object that is unmistakably Gustaf. The reveal also features the Mickey Mouse Cup (€68) in black ceramic, and the Mickey Mouse Sofa in black leather (€9,250), a core part of the made-to-order furniture collection, which pushes Disney’s character iconography into more sculptural territory.

“The Mickey Tumbler is probably my favourite piece,” adds Westman. “You can look at it for one second and totally understand it. You see both my world and how I have taken inspiration from Mickey’s world at the same time, and that simplicity is something I’m always trying to achieve.”

Beyond these hero pieces, the collection spans a wide range of products, from gifts, apparel and home decor to collectible, made-to-order furniture pieces. Westman draws on details from Mickey Mouse and other beloved characters, sometimes boldly referenced and unmistakable, while others are hidden as subtle discoveries throughout the collection.

The full collection will be unveiled at a free-to-attend pop-up in Paris open from 30 October to 1 November, with the collection then travelling to Tokyo (6 to 8 November) and New York (13 to 15 November) for further pop-up activations. Visitors will be able to experience and shop selected pieces ahead of the global online launch. A selection of pieces will also be available to purchase at Disneyland Paris, giving guests the opportunity to take home part of the collaboration from the destination that helped inspire its creation.

The campaign was photographed at Disneyland Paris, with Gustaf styled by Harry Lambert. Capturing the colour, creativity, whimsy, humour and sense of wonder shared across both Disney and Westman’s work, the campaign celebrates the imaginative spirit at the heart of the collaboration.

The Disney x Gustaf Westman collection will be available to purchase online from 15 November at https://gustafwestman.com/ and Beams (Japan).
