Disney’s Highly Anticipated “TRON” Sequel Opens in Cinemas Nationwide October 10

(producer), Russell Allen (executive producer) and Joseph Kosinski (executive producer) convened at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood earlier tonight for the film’s electrifying World Premiere.
The evening featured a pulse-pounding, immersive live musical performance by Nine Inch Nails outside of the TCL Chinese Theatre at the conclusion of the screening. The pioneering industrial rock band performed three songs from the film’s 24-track soundtrack including the hit single “As Alive As You Need Me To Be.” “TRON: Ares” marks the first-ever film score by the pioneering band under their Nine Inch Nails moniker, although bandmates Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed 20 scores under their own names, winning two Oscars®, three Golden Globes®, a GRAMMY® and an Emmy® in the process.
“TRON: Ares” follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. The feature film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges. Sean Bailey, Jared Leto, p.g.a., Emma Ludbrook, p.g.a., Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, p.g.a., and Steven Lisberger are the producers, with Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Russell Allen, and Joseph Kosinski serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Jesse Wigutow, with story by David DiGilio and Wigutow, based on characters created by Steven Lisberger and Bonnie MacBird.
