LONDON (September 23, 2026) – Disney and Pixar's global blockbuster “Toy Story 5” is now streaming exclusively on Disney+, bringing the next chapter of the beloved franchise to viewers at home. The film reunites Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the gang, while introducing families to a new generation of toys.
“Toy Story” is the most-watched film franchise on Disney+ with over 2 billion hours streamed globally, and “Toy Story 5” now joins the “Toy Story” Collection, where fans can stream the entire Academy Award®-winning franchise.
In celebration of the film’s debut on Disney+, Disney and Pixar are bringing the magic of “Toy Story” to Fortnite with the launch of “Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue,” a two-week limited-time activation running September 22 through October 5, 2026. As Disney continues to build new and unique experiences within Fortnite, “Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue” marks the first time Disney and Pixar have connected a Disney-branded adventure across multiple participating creator-made islands in Fortnite. The new adventure launched yesterday in the lead-up to today’s “Toy Story 5” Disney+ debut.
“Toy Story 5” is directed by Academy Award® winner Andrew Stanton; co-directed by Kenna Harris; produced by Lindsey Collins, p.g.a., and Jessica Choi, p.g.a.; and written by Stanton and Harris from a story by Stanton. The film features the original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” – performed by Taylor Swift and written and produced by Swift and Jack Antonoff – along with an original score by Oscar® winner Randy Newman, who returns to score his fifth “Toy Story” feature. “Toy Story 5” is rated PG.

The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 5,” and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie.
