An on-stage Q&A with the cast followed, moderated by comedian Judi Love and podcast host and broadcaster Vogue Williams. When asked about the script, Nicola Walker commented “I love Alice! You’re never going where you expect. It’s always more fun fighting than being friends, it’s fun being arch enemies like Alice and Steve become.”
Jemaine Clement spoke of his excitement about playing Steve and said “I knew from page five of the script that I wanted to work with Nicola.”
Writer-creator SophieGoodhart said she “sees [Alice and Steve] as a complicated love story” while director Tom Kingsley commented “the script was already so funny, I wasn’t worried about the comedy.”
