All-New Animation Led by Amy Poehler and Maya Hawke brings all the feels to the big screen this June

- Stepping into the recording booth, Sam Thompson will lend his voice to the character ‘Security Man Sam’ in the U.K. version of the film.
- Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler who returns as the voice of Joy. The voice cast also includes Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith and Ayo Edebiri.
- Disney & Pixar’s Inside Out 2 will release only in cinemas on 14th June, 2024.

Thursday 23rd May, 2024: Ahead of the release of Disney & Pixar’s new animated film Inside Out 2 next month on the 14th June, Disney has announced today that beloved broadcaster & TV personality Sam Thompson will entertain U.K. audiences as the voice of ‘Security Man Sam’, a character who finds himself on a chase with everyone’s favourite emotions.
Speaking of his role in the U.K. version of the all-new sequel to the beloved Inside Out, Sam Thompson says: “Having watched Pixar films since I was a kid, it’s a dream come true to join the voice cast of Inside Out 2. The film nods to the rollercoaster of emotions growing up and what a wild ride your teenage years can be. I for one can’t wait to see my family’s reaction to hearing my voice on the big screen”.
Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. Maya Hawke lends her voice to Anxiety, alongside Amy Poehler as the voice of Joy. The voice cast also includes Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Tony Hale and Liza Lapira.
