LONDON, U.K. (29 November, 2022) – Today, Disney+ announced that the addictive Original drama series “Tell Me Lies”, based on Carola Lovering’s novel of the same name, has been renewed for a second season.
The first season followed a tumultuous but intoxicating relationship as it unfolded over the course of 8 years. When Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten, “Nine Perfect Strangers”) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White, “Mrs. Fletcher”) meet at college, they are at a formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.
Season one of “Tell Me Lies” starred Grace Van Patten, Jackson White, Catherine Missal, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, Benjamin Wadsworth and Alicia Crowder. Meaghan Oppenheimer served as executive producer & showrunner. Emma Roberts, Karah Preiss and Matt Matruski executive produced under their Belletrist Productions banner, Laura Lewis, and Stephanie Noonan executive produced for Rebelle Media, and VICE Studios' Shannon Gibson and Sam Schlaifer executive produced for Vice-owned Refinery29. Jonathan Levine also served as executive producer. Carola Lovering served as a consulting producer.
