Marvel Studios’ DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE lands the No.1 spot in the UK & Ireland box office in its opening weekend, claiming the top spot for biggest opening of 2024 and signposting the highest grossing opening since Barbie last summer.
The Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine release debuted at Number 1 at the UK & Ireland Box Office, with a 63% market share - generating £17.26 Million ($22.16Million) including Thursday previews. The movie is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with 79% from critics and 97% from audiences.

Breaking records across the board, “Deadpool & Wolverine” has been the biggest opening weekend for a film rated 15, and the biggest opening in Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman’s careers. To date this year, The Walt Disney Studios has released the No. 1 title of May (Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes), June (Inside Out 2) and now, July (Deadpool &Wolverine).
