LONDON, U.K. (April 2023) – To celebrate this year’s Star Wars Celebration being held in London, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Justine Simons, Deputy Mayor for Culture and Creative Industries welcomed Lucasfilm President, Kathleen Kennedy, longterm Lucasfilm creators and collaborators Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Skeleton Crew), Andor Showrunner, Tony Gilroy, Director of upcoming Star Wars feature, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and Leslye Headland Acolyte Showrunner, alongside Jan Koeppen, President, EMEA, The Walt Disney Company and Asad Ayaz, Chief Brand Officer and President of Studios Marketing to London’s City Hall flanked by the iconic Star Wars characters, Imperial Stormtroopers.
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that Star Wars Celebration Europe is here in London and was delighted to meet Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, filmmakers and senior executives today.
“Major events and exhibitions such as this are a key driver of our economy as we look to build a better, more prosperous London for everyone.
