INSIDE OUT 2 CONTINUES ITS JOYOUS RUN AT THE UK & IRELAND BOX OFFICE. FEEL GOOD FILM TAKES OVER £23M

London, Monday 24 June 2024: Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 continues to capture the hearts and minds of UK audiences as it holds on to the top spot at the UK & Ireland box office for a second consecutive weekend. The film was the clear number one for the second week in a row, bringing its total cume to £23,251,493. It has remained the biggest non-holiday opener (across 7 days), in the UK and Ireland since last year’s Barbenheimer releases.

• Globally, Inside Out 2 is the highest-grossing film of the year, taking $724M to date.
• Inside Out 2 is 1 of only 7 titles to have crossed the 100M USD mark in weekend 2 domestically.

Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as Headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions. Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment show up. The voice cast includes Amy Poehler, Maya Hawke, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black, Phyllis Smith, Ayo Edebiri, Lilimar, Grace Lu, Sumayyah Nuriddin-Green, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Diane Lane, Kyle MacLachlan, Paul Walter Hauser and Yvette Nicole Brown. Inside Out 2 is directed by Kelsey Mann, produced by Mark Nielsen and executive produced by Pete Docter, Jonas Rivera and Dan Scanlon. The film features a screenplay by Meg LeFauve and Dave Holstein and story by Mann and LeFauve. With music by Andrea Datzman, the all-new feature film releases only in cinemas June 14, 2024.
