The Original Soundtrack for Disney’s “Freakier Friday,” the eagerly anticipated sequel to the beloved 2003 film, is available today from Hollywood Records. The soundtrack is comprised of all-new recordings by the film’s cast and fictional band “Pink Slip” and more, as well as an all-new original score from composer Amie Doherty. Linda Cohen serves as music supervisor.
The soundtrack includes all-new recordings of the iconic Pink Slip song “Take Me Away” from the original film, produced by Suzy Shinn (known for her work with Panic! at the Disco, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Alicia Keys, and Dua Lipa), with lead vocals performed by returning cast Christina Vidal Mitchell. A cover of Pink Slip’s “Ultimate” is performed by Canadian alternative rock band The Beaches, who were bestowed the Juno Award for Group of the Year in 2024 and 2025. Multi-platinum songwriter and producer Sarah Aarons (known for her work with Zedd, Alessia Cara, and Maren Morris) contributed the original song “Baby.”

In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice. “Freakier Friday” is directed by Nisha Ganatra and based on the book “Freaky Friday” by Mary Rodgers. The film, which also stars Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon, is produced by Kristin Burr, p.g.a., Andrew Gunn, p.g.a., and Jamie Lee Curtis, with Nathan Kelly, Ann Marie Sanderlin, and Lindsay Lohan serving as executive producers.

About Amie Doherty:
Irish composer Amie Doherty made history as the first woman to score a DreamWorks animated feature film with the 2021 release “Spirit Untamed.” Other notable projects include Marvel Studios’ “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” Universal’s “Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain,” Netflix’s “Blue Eye Samurai,” and Sony/Hulu’s “Happiest Season.” Nominated for Breakthrough Composer of the Year by the International Film Music Critics Association in 2022, Amie has also been nominated for and won several Hollywood Music in Media and Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards. As an orchestrator and conductor, she has worked with Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band, and 50 Cent.
