LONDON, UK (23 September, 2026) – Disney+ has today released a first look at “The Real Rooneys”, the highly anticipated Hulu Original series from the UK featuring Wayne and Coleen Rooney.
The two and half minute clip, introduces viewers to a mix of direct to camera interviews and fly on the wall moments for the Rooney family. Capturing the relatable chaos of family life behind the scenes with four boys, and providing insight into Coleen and Wayne’s professional journeys, during the upcoming 10-episode documentary series.
Coleen and Wayne Rooney invited cameras into their home for a pivotal year in their lives, as Wayne steps away from football management, swapping the touchline for school runs, while Coleen embraces the biggest opportunities of her career, including designing her own Primark range.
With unprecedented access, the series follows the family through the highs and lows of married life, raising four lively boys, and supporting eldest son Kai as he pursues his own footballing dream. Along the way come surprising personal revelations, career-defining moments, lavish celebrations and unforgettable family holidays. From their Cheshire home to the beaches of Barbados, Disneyland Paris and the snowy Alps, this is Britain's most famous and private family as never seen before: warm, funny and authentic.
Viewers will be able to stream episodes 1-8 exclusively on Disney+ on 24th September, with two special episodes available to stream on 1st October.
“The Real Rooneys” is executive produced by Julian Bird, Paul Stretford, and Ashley Smith for Lorton Entertainment, and Danny Horan and Tanya Winston for Blast Films. The Series Director is Martin Webb and Nonuk Walter serves as showrunner. The series was commissioned in the UK by Sean Doyle, Vice President, Unscripted for Disney+.
