LONDON, U.K. (3 December) – Disney+ has today announced the latest addition to their ambitious UK slate and marks its first foray into true-crime, ‘The Devil in my DMs’. The four-part Hulu Original Series for Disney+ will explore the dark intersection of social media and crime, following four distinctive stories where an online interaction becomes the breeding ground for shocking real-life crime.
“The Devil in my DMs” is produced by Lightbox, the production company founded by two-time Academy Award-winner Simon Chinn and Emmy Award-winner Jonathan Chinn, which is behind Disney+ Original series “Camden” and the Critic’s Choice award-winning National Geographic documentary “Hurricane Katrina: The Race Against Time”.
“The Devil in my DMs” has been commissioned by Sean Doyle, executive director of Unscripted, Disney+. The executive producers are Suzanne Lavery (‘Sophie: A Murder in West Cork’, ‘The Diamond Heist’), Simon Chinn (‘Man on Wire’, ‘Searching for Sugar Man’), and Jonathan Chinn (‘LA92’, ‘TINA’), with Toby Trackman (‘Camden’) serving as lead director.
