LONDON, UK (03 June 2026) – Disney+ has today unveiled an official first look clip at the next must-watch comedy-drama series, “Alice and Steve”, streaming 8th June. The six-part Hulu Original series from the UK stars Nicola Walker, Jemaine Clement, Joel Fry, and Yali Topol Margalith.
Alice is horrified when her best friend Steve starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. This first look clip shows the tension between Alice (Walker) and her best friend Steve (Clement) as he is invited over for dinner as Izzy’s (Topol Margalith) boyfriend for the first time. Steve walks in with trepidation, as Alice tries to cover her true feelings during the first encounter since Izzy revealed her intent to date her mum's best friend.
The clip is a prelude to Alice’s first attempt to try and end their relationship. Unfortunately for her, as the series unfolds, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship, devolves into an all-out feud. ‘Alice and Steve’ is a hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, family, and love.
Alice and Steve (6x30’) is created and written by Sophie Goodhart and directed by BAFTA-winner Tom Kingsley. Petra Fried, Andy Baker, and Wim de Greef executive produce for Clerkenwell Films and the series is produced by Fran du Pille. The Hulu Original series was commissioned by Lee Mason, Vice President, Scripted, Disney+ EMEA.
Disney+ is available from £5.99 per month - with no hidden costs and the ability to cancel anytime.
