Every LALIGA match will stream live on ESPN on Disney+ from the 2026/27 season through the 2028/29 season as part of customers' existing subscription

UK, LONDON (6 August, 2026) Disney+ has announced a new three-season agreement that will bring LALIGA to customers in France from the 2026/27 season. Every match will stream live on ESPN on Disney+, the included offering that gives customers access to live sports, studio shows, original programming and more.

For the first time, customers will be able to stream all 380 live matches each season as part of their existing subscription, with every match available in French. Produced by ESPN, the coverage will bring a fresh, distinctive approach, combining expert commentary and weekly highlights for existing and younger fans alike. With the 2026/27 season kicking off on August 15, French fans will be able to enjoy comprehensive live coverage from the opening matchday.

LALIGA features some of the most iconic clubs in world football, from Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona to European contenders such as Villarreal CF, Sevilla and Real Betis. Alongside high-profile fixtures such as EL CLÁSICO, the Madrid Derby and Seville’s El Gran Derbi, the competition is home to many of the finest and most high-profile players in world football.

The new agreement also comes at a moment of exceptional excitement for European football. Following this summer's FIFA World Cup, fans will once again be able to watch many of Les Bleus' biggest stars every week in LALIGA EA SPORTS, including Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga and Jules Koundé. LALIGA EA SPORTS was also the best-represented domestic competition in the FIFA World Cup Final, with 24 of the 52 players across Spain and Argentina's squads representing LALIGA clubs during the 2025/26 season.

The launch in France further strengthens ESPN's long-standing relationship with LALIGA globally. In the United States, ESPN and LALIGA have a long-term agreement making ESPN the English and Spanish language home of LALIGA through the 2028/29 season, bringing fans hundreds of matches each year.  Across Europe, ESPN on Disney+ continues to expand LALIGA's availability, including through the recent announcement of a new exclusive four-season agreement covering Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland from the 2026/27 season. In the UK and Ireland, ESPN on Disney+ also brings fans one live LALIGA match every Saturday night.

Karl Holmes, General Manager, Disney+ EMEA, said: "We're excited to bring LALIGA to all Disney+ France customers in a fresh new way. LALIGA has a strong connection with football fans in France, with many French players making their mark in Spain alongside iconic clubs and unforgettable rivalries, making it a great addition. We can't wait for our customers to enjoy coverage that feels exciting, different and made for football fans today."

LALIGA President Javier Tebas said: “We are delighted to strengthen our long-standing relationship with Disney through this new agreement in France. From the start of the new season, French fans will be able to enjoy all 380 LALIGA EA SPORTS matches live on Disney+, bringing them closer than ever to the competition's biggest clubs, iconic rivalries and world-class talent. This agreement is another important milestone in our global collaboration with The Walt Disney Company, building on our successful collaborations across the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and most recently the Nordics, and reflects our shared ambition to bring the very best of Spanish football to fans around the world”

Diego Londono, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Networks & Sports, The Walt Disney Company EMEA, said: "As ESPN on Disney+ continues to expand across Europe, bringing LALIGA to customers in France marks another important milestone. Building on our long-standing relationship with LALIGA, this agreement brings one of the world's leading football competitions to even more fans. With its world-renowned clubs, exceptional talent and football played at the very highest level, LALIGA further strengthens our growing live sports offering on Disney+.”

From iconic rivalries such as EL CLÁSICO and the Madrid Derby to the season-long race for the title and European qualification, Disney+ customers will have access to every storyline that makes LALIGA EA SPORTS one of the most exciting football competitions in the world.

Disney+'s live sports offering continues to grow across Europe. Alongside the UEFA Women's Champions League, available across Europe, customers in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland can also enjoy the Copa del Rey, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, with the UEFA Champions League joining Disney+ in Sweden from the 2027/28 season. ESPN on Disney+ also offers college sports including the NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments (March Madness), the College Football Playoff and bowl games, as well as events including the Little League World Series and the Savannah Bananas. In select markets, customers can also enjoy the NBA and NHL from the 2026/27 season.

In France, customers can also now stream L'Équipe as part of ESPN on Disney+, bringing live sports including the World Championships in biathlon, the Spanish Super Cup, the Diamond League, the European Table Tennis Union circuit and the Dakar Rally.

Fans can follow LALIGA coverage across ESPN's digital and social channels, with highlights, news and key moments from every match.
