London, July 31, 2025 - Thursday got a little freakier as the cast of Disney’s “Freakier Friday” hit the green and purple carpet at the UK premiere, held at the iconic Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.
Over 20 years since the original Freaky Friday premiered, Jamie Lee Curtis returned to London, this time joined by co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Chad Michael Murray, along with newcomers Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, and Manny Jacinto. Director Nisha Ganatra was also in attendance, along with the Producer Kristin Burr and Screenwriter Jordan Weiss.
Celebrating the nostalgic themes in the film, Disney had Y2K Girl Band Icon (Pussycat Dolls) - and Heart Radio presenter - Ashley Roberts as the host, along with Y2K Pop Band (S Club 7) Icon - and DJ - Rachel Stevens playing nostalgic music in the cinema before the film started.
Special guests who attended the UK Premiere included Bethany England (Lioness), Fran Kirby (Former Lioness), Katherine Ryan & Violet Ryan, Mimi Webb, Holly Humberstone, Remember Monday, Roxy Horner, Jedward, Hayley Morris, Brooke Blewitt, Josh Hewitt, The LDN Family, Jeremy Lynch and Juliet Angus.
FREAKIER FRIDAY
“Freakier Friday,” a sequel to the beloved 2003 film with a multigenerational twist starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.
