Monday 1 December, 2025: Judy Hopps & Nick Wilde are back in action, securing #1 film at the Global box office, accumulating $556 million in its first weekend. Following a record-breaking performance at the China box office, recording the largest opening for an animated film, Zootropolis 2 is the biggest animated release of the year in UK & Ireland, grossing £6 million; also at the UK box office, the film opens 67% ahead of the original 2016 Zootropolis which went on to gross over a $1billion.
In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootropolis 2,” rookie cops Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake (voice of Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootropolis and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before. The film also features the voices of Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, Idris Elba, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, Nate Torrence, and Shakira, who returns as Gazelle. From the Oscar®-winning team of Disney Animation chief creative officer Jared Bush and Byron Howard (directors) and Yvett Merino (producer), “Zootropolis 2” is in cinemas now.
