Tonight, 20th Century Studios’ “The Devil Wears Prada 2” made a show‑stopping entrance for its European Premiere in London, marking the final stop on the film’s globe‑trotting tour. The red carpet was rolled out in Leicester Square with cast Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, director David Frankel and costume designer Molly Rogers all in attendance, alongside producers Wendy Finerman and writer/producer Aline Brosh McKenna ahead of the highly anticipated sequel’s theatrical release on May 1st.
The cast and filmmakers were joined at the Leicester Square premiere alongside a raft of high-profile guests including Donatella Versace, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Calum Harper, Laura Whitmore, Peggy Gou, Jess Glynn, Bimini, and Alex Scott and more in a standout celebration of fashion and film.
Twenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel—Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway magazine in the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation.
The film reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces an all-new runway of characters including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, and B.J. Novak. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as “Lily” and “Irv” from the first film.
“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is produced by Wendy Finerman and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and Aline Brosh McKenna. Tickets are now on sale.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 debuts exclusively in cinemas May 1.
